The annual music and arts festival, Coachella, is finally here! One of the most anticipated festival lineups of the year included headliners such as Bad Bunny, Black Pink, and the most-talked-about performance of all, Frank Ocean. After his brother’s passing, the artist had not performed live since 2017, making his performance long-awaited by fans.

Most memorable moments from weekend #1:

On Friday, Puerto Rican hit, Bad Bunny became the first Latino solo artist to headline the festival. His first ever performance in the festival was in 2019. His set included special guests such as Jhayco, Jowell & Randy, Ñengo Flow, plus Post Malone. Some other performances from day 1 included sets from Gorillaz, Burna Boy, the Chemical Brothers, Blink-182, Becky G, Wet Leg, Yves Tumor, Kaytrana, Blondie, Doechii, and Metro Boomin who brought out The Weeknd as special guests during his all-star set.

Additional performances included everyone’s favorite MOTOMAMI, Rosalia. From her outfits to the choreography, her performance was loved by fans who watched the set and had the chance to be a part of it. Moreover, Rosalia brought out her fiance, Puerto Rican singer, Rauw Alejandro, during her set. The couple performed their recently released “Beso” and “Vampiros,” leaving love in the desserts air.

To close out the weekend, Frank Ocean headlined the final day of the first weekend of the music festival. The weekend’s most anticipated performance took many unexpected turns, from Frank turning up almost an hour late to his set to the performance not being live-streamed. The performance was cut short due to curfew, however, Frank was able to perform in a very intimate setting for his fans. The question that every fan had been asking themselves for a couple of years was finally answered after Frank confirmed that there would be new music coming out. During his performance Frank dedicated to his brother White Ferrari to honor him after his passing. Other performances from Sunday include Bjork, who had previously headlined during her 2000s-era incarnations. Not only did she have an outstanding set, but her astonishingly creative outfits also left everyone’s jaw on the floor.
