Actor Bob Saget’s death was due to a head injury, the likely result of a fall.

Saget passed away at the Ritz Carlton Hotel after a gig at a comedy club in Jacksonville, Florida. Saget is beloved by generations for his recurring role in Full House and Fuller House.

Authorities still don’t know what hit him or how he was injured, but there was a visible bruise on the back of his head. He may not have realized his injury was severe and gone to sleep. Authorities have also confirmed that narcotics and alcohol were not found in his body at the time of the accident. In a statement, the family said they are “overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob’s fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful.”
