Colegio International de Carabobo.

That was my home for 13 years. Not just my school, but the place where I received my education alongside the people who, today, I call my family. In the summer of 2019, I traveled to Miami, Florida, for summer break, but, after unexpectedly winning the lottery visa, my parents decided to stay here. Permanently.

I experienced many changes, but my passions always stayed the same. Throughout my life, I’ve always enjoyed English class, mainly because I got a chance to read and write creatively about many topics. My interest lies in writing because I get to express and argue my thoughts and beliefs on paper, which is impossible in subjects like Pre-Calculus or Humanities. Because I missed my life in Venezuela, I never really liked this school. However, when I became a part of The Globe my feelings changed. The start of this newspaper was the start of many things in my life. The first year, I was the Assistant Editor alongside Lucy Gonzalez, and this year (junior year) I was so happy to become the Editor-in-Chief.

The Globe has grown so much in such a short period of time, thanks to all our staff writers and especially Ms. Rivera who puts so much effort and dedication to the club. Like me, our team is filled with people who have a big interest in writing, not just about the school, but about issues across the globe.
