Brands such as Prada, Dior, and Chanel, have been around for ages. They are known all around the world. They were revolutionary in their day and age, but today creative Black designers are redefining fashion with fresh looks that are taking the industry in exciting new directions.

Renee Greenstein unveiled her new line, “Women with Control,” at this year’s New York Fashion Week. She believes, “Style is not about size, it’s about attitude.” Her fashion line has casual clothing, activewear, and shapewear. Greenstein’s purpose is to empower women, no matter the situation.

Wales Bonner, has flourished under the leadership of Grace Wales Bonner. She won an LVMH Young Designer Prize and has dressed celebrities such as Meghan Markle. She got her start in menswear, and in 2018, she launched women’s wear. Her lines reflect combine her Jamaican and English heritage.
