Goaallll!

On January 12, the DDCUS Senior class was celebrated at the first soccer Senior Night held in Tropical Park. Senior from the first graduating class ended their year playing the sport they love while being recognized for their hard work. Most seniors have been playing their sport since their freshman year and are highlighted during this special night.

Graduating seniors ran through their teammates and onto the field to be greeted by their parents. Guardians and supporters of each player joined them in celebration while they posed for pictures and were gifted a banner.

DDCUS hosted crowds of students and fans from 5:30 p.m. to 10:20 p.m. Attendees showed their school spirit by dressing out in black, holding up signs with their favorite players, and waving around gigantic cut-outs of the players’ heads.

Girls’ Varsity soccer played against Ronald Reagan Senior High. With a score of 0-1, Reagan took the win of the night. This victory didn’t stop the Dolphin team though, as they continued to keep their heads up high and supported Boys’ Varsity soccer later that night. The boys gave it their all, fell a couple of times on the grass, but got up and kept at it. The ending score of the night was 0-0. The score did not give enough credit to the teams, as they truly did fight for every point.

The first DDCUS Senior Night for both soccer teams was a success and only the beginning for what is another great tradition for the school.
